Celtic Knot SG cannot leh...upstair (further up) is famous for throwing ciggy butts...if it lands on the rubber mat, it catches fire, i am dead. if upstairs continue to flush their air-con (may contain lavas) water to our air con generator, I am dead too.. so I am going make sure that they kana from the NEA and HDB before I die without knowing which one (the water or the fire) that lead to my death!

Wanda SG I try not to become a complaint nuisance to the town council...as I dun wish to become infamous. Two wks' back, I'd finally wrote to the TC about the dripping laundry from the neighbours living 2 storeys' up - that is after having "siam-ed" and accomodating their laundry hours for more than a year. But finally, I had to do something.

Wanda SG Sponge dirty liao can throw and replace. The generator cover is made of metal so won't have moss, and besides, sunny weather can help to dry it. Ahh...maybe can use the kitchen hood filter also.
av98m SG for HDB flats you're at the gahmen's mercy. they can decide to tear down everything on a whim, and they dun need the 80 or 90% majority the danger of en-blocs is more for private estates, usually before one happens you will get notice from a newly formed sales committee

jetta SG I mean, having neighbours on top and below you. After having endured that, no more living that way for me. When I was househunting, every place I viewed, I had to check the walls by knocking on them just to see how hollow they were. Sound proofing/insulation is a must. I don't want to ever hear the next door neighbours getting "active" ever again. I just checked the HDB's site on flats recently sold and I'm shocked at how much a flat like mine sells for today.
Celtic Knot SG At 3am at night, my neighbour will switch on the air con, their generator will SPIT A BUCKET OF WATER OUT FROM THE HOLE under their generator...which cause a lot noise...I was awoken most night because of this.. then the big droplets will continue to drip drip drip, making loud thud of sound onto our generator....they continue to sleep, while I have to kept awake till 4.30am when the droplets subsides.. wonder if the "bucket" of water got lava? if mozzy breed, we are dead and they are safe, as it's been flushed out from their system to our unit!
av98m SG then you confirm cannot come back to singapore liao. a semi-d or bungalow will cost you over 10 million these days even a CB condo can go for 1.8 to 4 mil
